これはすごい発見だね。
以前からあった学説だが
二億数千万年に一度、必ず天体の落下が起きていることがわかっている
一番に最近のものは、恐竜をほぼ滅ぼした白亜紀の最後のものだが
それ以前の三畳紀などにも、巨大隕石の落下が起こっていて、これが定期的な大絶滅となっているのだ
その理由として、太陽には二億数千万年周期で接近する連星があり、それがオールトの雲をかき乱すためと言われていたが
しかしその連星はいまだもって発見されていない。
それが連星ではなく、太陽の周りの長距離軌道を巡る超巨大惑星だったとしても説明がつくよね
なんらかの理由で定期的に軌道が狂い、雲をかき乱し、周囲の隕石や彗星を太陽系の中に飛ばすとしたら、これで大絶滅と定期的な巨大隕石の落下の理由が説明がつく
